SSFC..
SSFC is situated in a purpose-built Centre with excellent, modern facilities for all subjects. The center also has ample free car parking. The College has a first-rate academic programme supported by committed teaching staff willing to go that extra mile to see their students reach their potential. For example, fourteen subjects achieved a 100% Pass rate in August 2007 and 2008. The College also supports a lively enrichment programme (Give it a Go) featuring a choice of sports, popular music and drama, and many other interesting activities. |

Support and Facilities..
Not all of your days at College will be spent in a classroom, but that doesn't mean you will not be learning. From now on, you can have a more active role in choosing ways to supplement your lessons and make your chosen subjects more rewarding. By carrying out wider reading, research and independent study, you will not only gain a better understanding of a topic, but also learn new skills – for example, in information retrieval, note taking, time management and use of IT, which will be valuable if you continue your studies at university or in your future career. |

Resources and Facilities The College offers excellent facilities to students including the library and open-access computer areas. The experienced staffs assist students with research and independent study. The on-site leisure centre has a sports hall, fitness area and playing fields, offering activities to students and the local community. |

Learning Resources Area: The Learning Resources Area (LRA) is a self-contained active learning area available to all students. This is the place to come if you wish to read research or use our extensive range of computer and media resources to help with your chosen course of study. |

The LRA.. The LRA is important in providing you with relevant resources and the right atmosphere in which to study, helping you to make the most of your time at College. Facilities are available throughout the College day and after lesson time. Experienced staffs are always on hand to help you. |

Social Areas:
The newly refurbished lounge is open until 2:30pm every day for meals and other refreshments.All students have access to a large social and private study area next to the lounge. There are also attractive landscaped areas for recreation. |

LSC: At LSC we pride ourselves on the support and care offered to our students to help them achieve their academic goals. All of our tutors are trained in the essential skills of pastoral care to provide students with personal guidance and advice whilst they are studying at College. Our tutors work with students to develop Individual Learning Plans (ILPs), review and support student progress and give advice on careers and higher education.
All students will develop their ILPs through the tutorial to help them plan, prepare and improve their own performance in their studies.The College provides a counselling service and students have access to an educational psychologist and advice on welfare, health and financial issues.

Financial Support:
SunRise offers some of the most generous financial support around via the ER (Educational Relief) Scheme, the Hardship Fund and the Learner Support Fund for students who qualify through our entrance exam. This can inform of tuition reduction or tuition free for 1 year programme. Ask for details at your interview. |

College Charter:
We give all students a copy of our Charter. This describes our services, your rights as a student and what you are entitled to expect from the College. Students also have access to College policies and procedures and the formal complaints procedure. |

Student Diary:
All students are given an attractive working diary and reference book. It includes the College year planner, student study and action planner, College plan and list of services. The College expectations and policies on work and attendance are included, together with advice on financial and personal welfare. |

Study Conferences and Field Trips:
Throughout the year many students have the opportunity to attend subsidised residential study conferences, day conferences, revision courses and residential field trips to supplement their work in College. |
